Marazion is an ancient market town situated
in west Cornwall in the far south-west of the United Kingdom.about
7 miles away from Roselands Caravan Park in St Just.The
town is the gateway to the enchanting St. Michael's Mount
and, being within easy travelling distance of all the major
attractions in west Cornwall, is the perfect base for your
Cornish holiday.
Marazion has a prominent position on the shores of Mount's
Bay, which is recognised as one of the top ten most beautiful
bays in the world. Our clean, sandy beaches offer safe bathing
and have views stretching from the Lizard Peninsula across
towards Land's End.
Marazion is a popular destination for sailing, windsurfing,
kitesurfing and birdwatching. Twice a year thousands of
starlings roost in the RSPB Reserve at Marazion Marsh. Their
arrival at dusk is a truly spectacular sight.
The town has a long historic relationship with the island
and castle of St. Michael's Mount. Access to St. Michael's
Mount is by way of a causeway, once walked by pilgrims,
at low tide. At other times visitors to the Mount travel
from Marazion in ferry boats.
St. Michael's Mount, "the jewel in Cornwall's crown",
receives visitors from all over the world who delight in
the hospitality of Marazion's community. The town itself
has a wide selection of bed and breakfast accommodation,
restaurants and bars. Relaxing on the beach is an enchanting
pastime being in full view of St. Michael's Mount. For the
