Cornwall is an ancient county with a history as old as time. This is evident when exploring west Cornwall in particular where there are numerous historical sites dotted across the landscape. Experience an Iron Age village with a visit to Carn Euny where you can venture underground into an incredible fogou, head to the Merry Maidens stone circle then discover the burial chamber at Tregiffian. If you’re out walking, wander the Sancreed Beacon, an swathe of pretty moorland which was occupied during the Bronze Age, you will literally be walking in ancient settlers footsteps!
